About

Odigbo is a Local Government Area in Ondo State, Nigeria, with its headquarters in the town of Ore. It covers an area of 1,818 square kilometres and is home to people of the Ondo lineage as well as Furupagha-Ijaw communities, with many towns and villages spread across the area. Ore is the largest town and sits on the Shagamu-Ore-Benin Expressway, a busy highway, which makes it a commercial hub where people from across the country live. The local government area borders the Ondos to the north, the Ikales to the east, the Ijebus of Ogun State to the south and Osun State to the west. Several villages are also inhabited by non-indigenes, including people from Oyo and Osun States and Ikale people from neighbouring local government areas in Ondo State.
