Tafa

Tafa is a Local Government Area in Niger State, Nigeria, adjoining the Federal Capital Territory. Its headquarters is in the town of Wuse. The area covers 222 square kilometres and had a population of 83,544 at the 2006 census. The local economy relies heavily on trade, with several marketplaces including the Gauraka market. Residents also engage in farming, animal rearing, hunting, ceramics, crafts and wood carving.
