Tsanyawa is a town and Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria. It covers an area of 492 square kilometres and had a population of 157,680 at the 2006 census. The area is known for its trading activity, including markets such as the Dumbulum Cattle market, and for farming crops such as millet, sorghum and rice.
