Kano Municipal is a Local Government Area within the Kano Urban Area in Kano State, Nigeria, which also serves as the state's capital. Its Secretariat is at Kofar Kudu, the western entrance of the emir's palace, in the south of the city of Kano. The area covers 17 square kilometres and is divided into 13 wards.
