History
Malam Madori was founded around 1930 by Malam Madu. A railway station was built around that time, which brought commercial prosperity, and people from nearby towns such as Dakido, Talaku, Dunari and Hadejia migrated to the town for trading opportunities. Before the railway, farmers moved their goods to nearby markets by pack animal; the railway allowed local farmers to buy groundnut grinding machines between 1955 and 1957. Groundnut pyramids existed in Malam Madori until the 1970s.
