Mobbar is a Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria, with its headquarters in the town of Damasak. It covers an area of 2,790 square kilometres and had a population of 116,654 at the 2006 census.

History

Mobbar is one of the sixteen local government areas that constitute the Borno Emirate, a traditional state located in Borno State, Nigeria. The area shares boundaries with the Republic of Niger, and agricultural commodities such as fish, pepper and tomato are exported through its border. The San-San dunes on the outskirts of the local government are a potential site for tourism if further developed.
