About

The Nigerian Shippers' Council is an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria that provides a forum for protecting the interests of shippers on matters affecting the shipment of imports and exports to and from Nigeria. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy. The council focuses on the importing and exporting of cargo through port-to-port shipment and the wider chain of transportation. Its mandate is to create an effective environment for Nigerian stakeholders by establishing a sufficient and sound economic regulatory system in the Nigerian port transportation sector.
