National Council on Privatisation

The National Council on Privatisation (NCP) is a government-sponsored think tank in Nigeria that determines the political, economic and social objectives of privatising and commercialising the country's public enterprises. It approves privatisation and commercialisation policies, the valuation guidelines and criteria for public enterprises, the list of enterprises to be privatised or commercialised, share and asset prices offered for sale, and the appointment of privatisation advisers and consultants. The Council also approves its own budget. The Bureau of Public Enterprises serves as the Council's secretariat. The NCP has run public billboard campaigns on major Nigerian roads promoting privatisation.
